The 18th annual University of Toronto National Biology Competition will be held at participating schools on Thursday, April 26, 2012.
Over 92,000 high school students have participated in the competition since 1995, from across Canada and around the world. We hope the students in your school will participate this year.
General information about the coming competition is available under the 2012 Competition tab above.
The aim of the competition is to provide all high school students with an opportunity to test their knowledge and understanding of biology. We encourage participation of younger students, especially those in Grade 11. Top students receive cash prizes and certificates designating them as National Biology Scholars. Admission scholarships will be awarded to the top 10 students to register in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto (St. George), valued at $2,000. The top five schools each receive a Certificate of Excellence.

Registration and payment will become available to
registered teacher coordinators on Monday, February 6, 2012. In the
meantime, if your school is not yet in our school directory, a coordinator may create a permanent school account.
Not only is a school account required for registration, but it will
also ensure that your school is on our contact list when we announce the
openning of future registrations.
We look forward to your school's participation in the 2012 National Biology Competition!
